Wednesday, 17 March 2010 - Wooooooo ~ Hoooooo ~ It's my 19th Birthday! Rebonding at home salon in the morning, lunch date in the afternoon with Wen Yan, her bro & Jasmine at J8's Manhatten Fish Market, dessert with Jasmine at Lot1's MOF and dinner with Mum & Sis at JP's Din Tai Fung!

PSSS: Thanks, dearest sis for your present. ♥ It's really sweet of you; the only one who took notice that I've been sad about not having a birthday cake for so many years and bought me a small one, despite your limited allowance. I'm touched, really.

Every night, I’ve been telling myself it’s high time to update on my 19th Birthday but.. ITP has drained all the energy out of me that nothing’s left by the time I get home. PLUS, with a hordeolum on my left eye that doesn’t seem to go away, it’s making the situation worse! :( I tend to get it whenever I wear contact lens for a couple of hours. And I’ve been applying warm compresses but to no avail! It only seems to be getting bigger and redder by the day and I’m getting pretty worried already. :( It’s almost a week since the bump appeared!

Tomorrow’s Tues, my only day off every week and I can’t believe I’m gonna have to wink my left eye (with the hordeolum) in order to look into the focimeter during specs recycling. -.- But I’ll be meeting up with the all-too-familiar people from my Secondary Sch clique so.. at least something to be happy about. HURRAY! :D

My eye looks distorted with the hordeolum. It actually looks redder than this. Am now afraid it might distort my cornea should it grow internally. My astig’s already high enough, please!! :(

Saturday, 6 March 2010 - DOPT 03 PTN @ Rajah Inn, Tiong Bahru Plaza.

Met Zhuang Ying for a late lunch at IMM, shopped at Daiso for a while before I took a train down to Tiong Bahru to meet my classmates for the PTN (Indo hotpot buffet @ Rajah Inn). Reached Tiong Bahru very early, around 6.10pm so I waited for a while before Geraldine arrived slightly past 6.30 and we loitered around till 7pm before meeting the rest.

Though 03 wasn't in full force that night as a couple of them couldn't make it, I still enjoyed the food and the company. Food was pretty spicy but yummy. And I helped myself to lots of fondue. Haha. Practically stomached the entire plate.. How sinful. :/ Anyhow, I knew I just had to eat my fill before ITP starts.

Ok, I'm seriously drained after the 1st day of ITP. And yes, it's just the FIRST day and it already feels like a month. -.- Reported to the shop today AND first thing first, I had to clean the entire place (mopped the floor and wiped all the glass + sunglasses). After that, for nearly the rest of the day, I sat in front of the computer doing record-keeping till I nearly dozed off. 12 hours of work daily ain't a joke at all. Plus, I can only choose either Tues/Thurs as my off day as I've to be back in sch for specs recyling every off day. And so happens I'm down in luck this ITP cos my birthday falls on a Wed. -.- SO, in order to take an off next Wed, I've sacrificed my off day this week. Major.. FML!!!!!!!

Met up with Reenie after my specs recyling yesterday and her exams had just ended too. Was quite shocked when she passed me a very advanced birthday present on the train. Haha. Didn't expect her to be so fast as there wasn't much time for her to prepare in view of the exams, her OITP and all. First went to Paya Lebar (City Plaza) cos we thought there might be some interesting finds there but the prices of the clothes there were kinda steep. Think the prices will only be reduced if purchase is made is bulk. So, forget it. We took a bus to Bugis not long after.

Bought quite a no. of clothes for my ITP and her OITP and got very tired and hungry after that so we headed for Bugis Junction's Soup Spoon! I had Tokyo Chicken Stew and a Ham and Cheese Sandwich while hers was Meatless Minestrone and a sandwich too. Soup Spoon always makes me really full, though I can usually eat quite a lot. And Reenie dearest was so hungry that by the time I arrived with my food, her portion was already halved! Lol.

Anyway, I'm really glad I was able to meet her one last time before she goes off to Ireland for a month of OITP. Her trip sounds damn awesome and I'm so envious cos I'll only be going to Jakarta in June and it's just Jakarta. ._. Reenie, take care of yourself when you're there, please! Wear more clothing, drink more water and have regular and healthy meals, ok? I'll cya again in a month's time or so! :)

Lastly, thank you so much for the lovely advanced birthday present! To think that amidst all the exam madness and preparations for your OITP, you were still thoughtful and sweet enough to remember my birthday though you can't spend it with me this year. *Heart melts* Love you and don't forget me while you're in Ireland! Hahaha..

03 is EXAM-FREE (at least for now). Hip hip, hooray! However, let's NOT talk about the coming ITP. :( :( Everyone out there, if you're free and don't mind heading down to CCK, I'd absolutely be very happy if you could drop by and maybe say 'hi' to me during the upcoming ITP. Because I'm gonna be a very sad girl from the 8th of Mar to the 18th or Apr, clocking ~12 hrs daily with only 1 weekday off BUT this has since been ripped off cos I've to be back in sch for specs recycling on every day off.

So that means.. I'm literally not gonna have a 'life' for 6 whole weeks! Hello Emperor Optics, my new-found home. -.- And last year's birthday was bad enough cos results were released right after my birthday ended and I freaking cried. This year's worse. I don't have a birthday at all. -.-

Anyway, all the unhappiness aside.. I'm glad to have had an AWESOME class for these 2 years in poly. Bunch of fun-loving people DOPT 03 classmates are, really. :) There's never been another class I've felt such a keen sense of belonging to. 03 peeps have made my poly life exciting, unimaginable and happening. I'd never fail to smile, laugh or go crazy as long as I'm around all these lovely people. :) This is the only class I find myself being able to truly be myself, w/o a facade. So I just wanna say, I LOVE & APPRECIATE YOU GUYS VERY VERY MUCH. :) And even as we go to separate classes with effect from Year3, let's always remember each other in one way or another!
