Called YES933's hotline the day before yesterday and spoke to DJ Chong Qing ! Heheheh. :D I managed to call thru like.. FINALLY, after trying & redialling for so many weeks till I was on the verge of giving up ! Think I was the last person to call on Thurs morning at 1.25am. Yes, 1.25am cos I was lying on the bed listening to the radio station as I couldn't get to sleep initially. Tried calling in from 12am+ and by 1am+, I was almost asleep when I pressed the call button and lo & behold, my call got thru. Haha. So I was half asleep and barely awake when he answered the call. o.o Anyway, it was nice talking to him but I was too tired by that time so only managed to dedicate the song to a couple of people. Left many people out cos I didn't really know what I was saying either. :X Maybe I should try calling again soon! Also, I met Jadeite for the second time yesterday, which is also the last time we're meeting before she returns to China for her studies tomorrow. Kinda reluctant to see her go but.. she'll be back in SG next year once she has completed her studies there so, HURRAY ! :D Went to City Hall, collected her specs from Suntec at an optical shop called 'OPTOMETRIST'. Interesting name, huh? More interestingly, she asked me if I've got a lecturer named Danny cos she said he used to be the boss of the shop. The shop was recommended by her mum's friend cos they said Danny's good. OMG, the world sure is SMALL; esp that which revolves around our local optometrists. Haha. After all, practically everyone graduated from SP so there is bound to be a lot of connections everywhere. :) Got my tuition pay for the month of Jul today. BUT.. the worst thing was, I was depositing my cash into the cash deposit machine when went bonkers, ate my money, issued me a receipt to be kept as a record and then displayed on the screen 'The machine is temporarily out of service.' WTH !!! I want my money back. -.- Gonna report this to the bank tomorrow. Damn, it was just my luck ! There were so many people in front of me in the queue who managed to get their transactions done w/o any problem but what happened when it was my turn ? ZZZ. Okay, that's all for today's post. Tomorrow's already the month of Aug, which will also mark the start of my intensive revision plan. Hope I can make it. Prac tests & ICAs are all driving me nuts. Had high tea buffet at Cathay's Nihon Mura with Jadeite & Nydia on Fri ! Finally got to meet Jadeite like after.. almost 2 years ? o.o Anyway, I'm glad we're still keeping in touch despite the fact she's been away in China since 'O' Levels ended. Well, the food was not very fantastic but still alright. Nydia & I ordered 14 items off the menu while Jadeite ordered a whopping 21 ! :O Her appetite sure is big and she ate uncountable plates of sashimi, which I don't consume cos the fishiness makes me feel sick in the stomach. Haha. I was so full after the buffet that my tummy could be seen. :X Or it was probably cos I drank like 2 and a half cups of huge glasses of iced green tea. HAHA. The green tea is nice but sushi is not as good as Sakae's though. However, the menu consists of some food items that Sakae doesn't have so it's something new I tried. :) All in all, I paid $18.70 for the high tea; quite reasonable I suppose. Had a great time catching up with the girls too and of course, snapping pics as well. :)
Stupid blogger's so problematic nowadays; I'm using Photobucket to upload the pics. -0-" Yesterday, Geraldine, Sherlyn, Qiao Yan, Zubbie & me happened to wear skirts/dresses to sch !And it was all unplanned. I came to sch in skirt and saw Geraldine in a dress. Then Sherlyn and Zubbie came into class in a dress and a skirt respectively. Later on, Qiao Yan also came in a skirt. Omg, how coincidental. :D
I shall end off with something rather amusing. o.o We were having our lunch at FC1 yesterday when Zubbie suddenly burst out laughing. We then realised what the joke was about. Right smacked on the table she was sitting is a notice which says:

Clinical Opt prac on Thurs made me cringe & freak out a little but it was pretty fun and interesting. :) We learnt how to do Slit-Lamp Examination & also.. inverted the eyelid of our subject ! How does that sound ? My subject was Sherlyn and I couldn't invert her eyelid; neither could she invert mine. HAHA. A couple of times, she accidentally touched my cornea so I had reflex action of retreating back. Ahaha.. As for me, I didn't get a good grasp of the technique initially & was quite afraid I'd hurt my subject so I didn't manage to invert hers. However, later on, I succeeded in inverting Qing Yi's lid; yay ! :) :) But of course.. it wasn't all smooth-flowing and easy for me. I tried on her right eye a couple of times, couldn't flip her lid so I then moved on to the left instead. By the time her lid was inverted, she was already tearing. Oh gosh. D: Having mentioned about all these, I have photos to show you guys ! Yeah ~ :D I hope they won't make you feel disgusted. Haha..

This is mine ! Not so clear but anyway, Bing Yang was the only one who managed to flip mine so yay !! Danny Sim said my lids are quite thick, maybe that's the reason why Sherlyn and Qing Yi couldn't flip them. o.o Sherlyn said I got extra row of lids and proudly classified it as 'Dichiasis'. Did we even learn that in Pathology ?! Wahaha !! :p Just yesterday, I made a trip to the gym with Zhuang Ying ! Heheheh. :) It was sooooo damnnnn long since I last went to the gym and I finally got to work out quite a bit yesterday ! Also jogged for a distance of 2.5km but realised how much my stamina has dropped from the past. :( Still, there's one thing I ought to be merry about so I'm gonna mention it here as well. I've gained a kg and am now 41kg ! :D Yes, I THINK and I certainly HOPE I did gain weight cos I was 40kg when I last weighed myself. ._. WAY TO GO, Mic !!! I hope to be able to gain at least 2 more kg so I'll look healthier. :)
As for today, during GEMs class, we had presentation (not my group but others) and 2 groups presented to us their workshop trainings. One of them was quite interesting cos it was about finger printing art ! Awesome stuff cos I've always loved playing around with CREATIVITY and handmade works of art. Still remember when I was in Pri 3, I joined the Art Club and enrolled myself in the porcelein painting class. :) So the group which presented asked us to form groups and use the finger prints to make a group logo. This is what my group came up with & we were the winning team !! :D :D

Hi, I'm here again ! :D Had no sch today cos lesson was cancelled. Dragged my feet to sch this morning for extra prac today. Ultimate sian-ness ! ._. Haha. Finished 5/6 subjects, left with 1 which I was too lazy to do. D: After which, went to eat lunch with Hui Ting + Serene at FC5 and then had nothing to do so went Popular to see if they have Epop mag. And suddenly, this person trying to play 神秘 smsed to ask what I was doing in Popular. Lol. Turned 360 degrees but saw no one. Then walked round the whole of FC5 like some retarded person but STILL SAW NO ONE. ._. In the end, the person said she had already left for the MRT. And who was that person? Reenie a.ka. 何炎太太. LOL ! Hahaha ! Cos she had already boarded the train by the time I was walking to the MRT, we arranged to meet at JE instead. Met her and then made impromptu plans to go Lot1 to find her Epop mag and then to her house to collect stuff. Ended up discussing serious business, chatting non-stop about Fahrenheit, having dinner at her house (for the 3rd time already ! :X) and and... revising spelling with her bro. Hahaha.. I suddenly thought of and asked her whether she would choose salt/river but she was soooo undecisive; can't make up her mind so she wanted BOTH. Omg, 超贪心的耶 ~ :p I'm a loyal and faithful person so I'm sticking to my AHEM. :D You guys will probably not know what I'm talking about. Haha.. Also, ended up debating which was funnier, 汪太太 or 炎太太. I think the latter is funnier, right ??? Okay, finally back home & I'm tired ~ ~ ~ Wen Yan & Jasmine, we shall meet up real soon okay ? :) And Zhuang Ying, we're meeting up TO-MOR-ROW ! Passed Clinical Optometry Prac Test 1 & MST, Ocular Pathology 1. Failed Ophthalmic Optics; like.. WTH. -.- I've yet to get back my MST papers for Ocular Pharmacology and Introduction to Contact Lenses. But I can forsee.. that I'm gonna flunk the latter as well. ._. Dessert treat at MOF with Wen was great. Saw Li Fang there and I wasn't aware till she called out to me. :X Saw Isaac after that and we had a nice chat. Okay, that's about it. Bye ~ 08 July 2009
I'm back for a short update ! :) Sch ended pretty early today, at 11am. It was basically just an hour of CL lecture and then another hour of prac. After sch, I had lunch with the girls and slacked at T1's lab for a while before heading for my dental. Bing Yang needed to do some shopping for working clothes so we decided to leave together. After my dental, we went to Taka and our eating spree began; haha.. omg ! There, I had a stick of Korean crispy chicken, durian puff, one stick of BBQ chicken and one cup of white chocolate gelato. We were like eating one thing consecutively after another. And that was his breakfast + lunch for the day but as for me, it was only my tea break okay ! OMG. Thereafter, I also bought donuts for my family! Heehee. We then headed for Marina Sq where we bought bubble tea and he ate at Subway. :X He also bought his working clothes from Robinsons there. Overall, I ate almost the same amount of food as him minus the Subway (he gave me his cookies though). :) Alright, don't be surprised cos though I'm really lightweight and small in size, my eating capacity is actually quite high ! LOL. On the whole, it was all about eating and talking and the entire thing was super hilarious ! HAHA; tsk tsk. Anyhow, we both have something in common. Eating is our passion and it makes us H-A-P-P-Y ! :D Right, I know I'm sounding like a glutton now who has been food deprived for many years. Still, not to worry cos I still do sports and exercise. And again, I'm sure many would be shocked cos I don't look like anyone who does sports at all. I simply have the likes of some dorky reserved idiot who's from an awefully boring club/society, am I right ? D: Anyway, I'm going to sch tomorrow just to be the subject for 04 people for their prac exam until around 10.20am. After which, I'm gonna meet Wen Yan and Jasmine. I'm utterly disappointed in myself, in my performance. I simply suck in theory, prac and practically everything related to this course. Well, not that I totally screwed up today's Clinical Opt prac exam but.. things just didn't turn out well. Before I even knew it, I was the first to be called into the lab by Sean Lee and my subject was Ke Jie. Everything went on quite smoothly for the right eye so I was pretty calm and composed thinking it would all turn out fine. But when it came to the left eye (after stimulated lens was put in), that's went things started going haywire. First, my ret result was not accurate so Mr Lee asked me to do again and it was fine after that. JCC was a nightmare cos I couldn't find the correct axis. No matter how I tried, even after going one round of 360 degrees, subject still said it was just as blur. So I thought it was either a problem with my cyl power/BVS and I did them again but there wasn't much of a prob. Then I went back and did the axis again like 3-4 times before I finally got it. It was cos of the difficulties which surfaced during the JCC that made me start to panic. Before me was SY, who didn't finish within time so Mr Lee was repeatedly walking over to her side to check on her. As a result, he didn't see me doing some steps for the left eye and also Binocular Balancing. I wonder how he graded me for that component. After I finished, I went to look for him and he told me about the minor errors I made. -Forgot to remove JCC before refining BVS (once was not enough, it happened TWICE cos I panicked like hell -.-) -Flipped the lens too fast during JCC Then he said, overall it's okay so I guess.. I passed ? And all my problems were with JCC (which is the biggest component; 35 out of 80 marks !) so I think my marks were mainly deducted from there. :( One particular thing I'm quite happy about.. Today was one of the RARE occasions I actually remembered to turn on the near light. And everything was SO alright, till that stupid JCC on the left eye. Hai.. ): Went thru' Opthalmic Optics prac test after that. Looking at my atrocious result once again, I was struggling to hold those tears back. Hey, hello ! :D Sorry, I know it's been ages since I last updated. Have been too lazy over the holidays and after that was pretty caught up with MST so I thought it'd be better for me to stay away from the com for a while. Alas, MST ended yesterday and I screwed up like.. 3/5 of my papers which is not unusual of me so.. NVM. -.- I mean, how can one who keeps thinking of quitting course all the time focus on revision huh ? It's just so tough; mentally. Went swimming with Zhuang Ying today. Have been swimming since the june hol and I kinda enjoy it cos I can exercise and also get a nice tan. So, it's killing 2 birds with a stone. Heheheh.. I'm so happy I'm no longer as fair as Snow White now. >.<  Sigh.. My prac exam's on Mon and I'd really love to think all will go smoothly and I can definitely do it BUT.. after yesterday's last attempt to practise, I'm really doubtful and sceptical about my efficiency & capability now. I just keep forgetting the same old steps, give unprecise instructions and always can't keep within the time limit. PLUS, my examiner's Mr Lee, someone whom I'm totally new to & unfamiliar with. Hai.. Shall say a short prayer before I go for the exam. Hope I can at least get a pass. I daren't have the slightest bit of hope on myself anymore cos I'm really afraid of the disappointment that always follows. Well, we shall see on Mon...... |
