Sick ): Aww man.. I'm sick again!! x( A couple of hours to the start of a new year and here I am, sick again! Yeah, it's been work work and work lately so I guess I'm just too drained. Oh well.. I've met a lot of people throughout the past week. ;D Jasmine and Jowell dropped by the booth and Jowell came down on Christmas to hand me a present. Jasmine even accompanied till my shift ended on fri, 11.30pm. Thanks guys! (: Found out that Yun Sheng's working at the same place and even on the same level as me! Haha.. It's really a small world. LOL. Jie Liy also popped by twice and we had dinner together on thurs. Today, I met Lien Ching at the interchange on my way to work and she went down to my booth to say hi too. Thanks everyone for visiting me! (: Haha.. must say that I'm so touched. X: Oh ya.. I'm now looking forward to meeting Zhuang Ying and Kimberly. I'm dying to go out with you guys eh! >.< Haha lol. Hope I'll get my next pay soon too cos I wanna buy lots of stuff to pamper myself FOR ONCE. xD I want new clothes, shoes, handbag, accessories and etc!! ;P It's time I learn to dress up a bit since I've always been quite a plain jane.. : Hmm.. my work station was shifted a couple of days ago and I really miss the time when I shared the booth with Evelyn and Xiao Hong. Well, Evelyn's gonna start a new sch term so she won't be working anymore. Sad.. ): As for XH, I drop by her booth every now and then to say hi. Haha.. She pops by occasionally too. xD Hope Evelyn will do well in her 'A' Levels. Jia you Jia you!! ^^ Time now: 10.22pm Are you guys gonna do the countdown?? WELL I AM! ;D Hahaha.. So much has happened this year; ups and downs.. good times and bad but I'll never forget all the happy times I've had in Regent. (: This year's been quite an 'ugly' one with 'O' Levels and other big big problems of my own but I'll just leave everything behind and await the arrival of the New Year! Off day! Second day at work yesterday and it was not too bad. Supposed to go down to the booth at 5.30pm but I was 20 mins early. Haha.. I know I'm seldom on time for my appointments, let alone being early. -.= Yesterday was the last lesson with my piano teacher. ): I went for my lesson and it was only after I got home when I thought of giving her something small which I'd bought from HK. Stupid me.. I'm a bit slow sometimes. T.T So I went back down to the centre just before I headed for work. She was kinda surprised that I actually popped by again just to give her the gift. Haha.. Went for my shift and talked to the working partner of mine, Stella. There are also 2 other girls whom I've made friends with.. from the booth adjacent to mine. They are Evelyn, 17, currently in AJC and Xiao Hong, 21, from China. (: They are all very very nice and warm people. Glad to have known them. ^^ Rachel dropped by the booth after her work last night. Thinking she might like to have something to eat, I bought her a cookie from Mrs Fields. I suppose it should be quite nice.. though Famous Amos could have tasted better. Oh well.. I couldn't go too far off anyway. Evelyn and XH's boss, whom they address as 'uncle', treated them to KFC but didn't exclude me, though I wasn't his employee. Later, he also bought fried carrot cake from the food court, which we each had a portion of. Thus, I didn't have to spend much money on dinner yesterday. Ha. (; Really appreciate the kind thoughts of these people. At times, the 2 girls helped me with my sales, knowing that I still lacked experience in the job. Then, when I had to do the closing and packing last night, they helped me too. (: I guess kindness is really contagious and in fact, it goes a long way. Will probably get a small gift for them before my job there expires. :] So.. I'm pratically working everyday now, except for Sundays but the working hours are pretty short though.. only about 5 to 6 hrs daily. I will be getting my pay at the end of this week! Woo hoo! ;D I seldom pamper myself with shopping and buying stuff but after I get my pay, I will have the liberty of spending. How cool is that? Haha.. Oh ya.. bought her a birthday present today and am intending to give it to her tomorrow, together with the souvenirs. Whether she will accept it or not, I'm sceptical about it.. but my thought is there so.. yup, it's entirely up to her. 22 December 2007
Started WORK! x| Went for the interview yesterday at Coffee Club next to California Fitness. Arrived 5 mins early but the interviewer, Lyn, said she'd be 10 mins late. So I waited outside for a while and didn't know she actually went in already. At first, it was just me and her. Then, she said there'd be another girl coming for the interview as well. A couple of mins later, the girl joined in and Lyn interviewed the both of us together. The girl's called Stella and she's currently studying accounts with NTU. I was thinking.. since she's already in uni, won't it be better for her to give tuition instead? I mean, if it were me, I'd rather give private tuition. Can earn more that way. (: Yup, so Lyn told us the expectations of the job.. blah blah blah.. like what any typical interviewer would say. Well.. she seems pretty nice, apart from the fact that she actually smokes. X: It all lasted about half an hr or so and just when I was about to go home, I received a msg from Lyn asking if I would like to start work RIGHT AWAY. O.O I was like.. totally unprepared la. Lol. But since I happened to be free, I decided to work anyway. It's this small booth at cineleisure B1, selling shoes. Started work at 4.30pm and fang gong at 11.3opm. You must be thinking.. HUH? SO LATE?! Ya, that's how late the 2nd shift ends and I worked an extra hour yesterday. =.= Was supposed to start at 5.30pm instead. I think I'd prefer the 1st shift though.. from 12.30-6.30pm. Work is seriously very very or should I say.. DAMN boring. -.- Lol. The job's easy but oh well, I've to do packing up at the end of the day. Most of the time, I was just sitting there doing nothing. Simply daydreaming and trying to resist the temptation of bubble tea from store right in front. >.> Occasionally, I'd whip my hp out, sms-ing zy & jowell. There were few customers and sales wasn't too good. I guess it's cos the shoes are kinda costly.. as in.. a pair costs about 40 bucks? X: Thankfully, there's no commision. Phew. -_= Yeah, so I'm going for my shift later at 5.30pm and by the time I get home, would be suffering from extreme fatigue. ): I think I've got to keep myself more occupied during work so perhaps I'll buy a magazine later on. Pain ): I fell in my house kitchen today. X: Well, the floor was wet so I slipped, hit my leg and knocked over a bamboo pole which hit my head! My right arm is a little scraped and now my leg hurts. ): Can only blame it on my clumsiness and my mind was actually deep in thoughts before I fell. Yesterday, I went job-hunting with Sak and Hafriz. We went to Plaza Sing first and asked around, but to no avail. Then, we decided to try Jurong Pt but there wasn't any luck either. Oh well. -.- So we went back to Lot1 and met Adabelle there. We asked her if she was working and she recommended us her job..selling swim wear (bikinis) at Suntec. xD Haha.. Know this isn't exactly a perfect job but Sak and I will be going for the interview anyway. Every opportunity is worth a try I guess. >.< Yup, so the appointment's tmr at 12 noon, Novena Sq 2. The boss seems pretty nice though. Haha.. Well, hope I'll be hired and start work ASAP to get my mind off the same old issue. =_= I'm really tired of thinking; it's probably time to give up.. 16 December 2007
Took a bus down to town after church. No choice, had to take public transport cos daddy's in Taiwan. Nothing much to say about today. Went home after lunch and napped for 2 hrs before I had dinner while watching hong xin da jiang. Oh ya, I saw 2 teachers yesterday. After piano while I was waiting to cross the road, saw Mrs Lau and her two sons. Then at night, was going down the escalator from level 2 of Lot1 when my mummy said 'Eh, that lady looks like Mrs Chua..' I took a first glance and then the second before I actually realised that it was her. X: So I called out to her and we talked for a min or so before I ran off to meet mum and sis at Ya Kun. After that, sis wanted to buy milk so went to NTUC and I saw her going in too. Okay, second time but I didn't know there'd be another. -.= Then, I was at Giodano paying for my jeans and just when I turned, I saw her again, this time carrying handfuls of NTUC plastic bags. Haha.. Too much of a coincidence, I thought. Okie, I think that's about all for today. I'm still waiting for the companies to call me cos I haven't gotten a job. ): Had my second last piano lesson with the current teacher. ): She's gonna leave the centre and I've withdrawed myself from there. Asked if she teaches privately but she said she can't go over to my home to teach as she stays in Tampines. Upon hearing that, I was like.. 'HUH? So far ah?' O_O Haha..an exaggerated reaction. X: Yup, so I'm now urgently looking for another teacher cos I don't wanna waste anymore time. I wanna speed up and take my exam next year! >.< A couple of days ago, my ex pri sch classmate spoke to me on msn. Well, she migrated to aust and is doing well. It was a long day OUT! (: HELLO EVERYONE! (: I finally went out yesterday! Haha.. Met up with pri sch friend Jie Liy at 1.30pm where we took a bus down to Orchard. Both of us went without breakfast so we were really starving! >.< Chatted and chatted in the bus until we missed the bus stop and had to alight at the next one which was kinda far away. Then, we went to Wisma Atria's Food Republic to have hokkien mee. The queue was quite long and when it was our turn to collect the food, I took mine and one auntie queueing behind us just took Jie Liy's plate of mee and strode of like that. We were like WTH??!! She's so freaking kan chiong la. LOL. God knows if she even paid for the food. -.= The hokkien mee was not bad. (: $4 for a quite a generous serving. Thereafter, we headed to Takashimaya's Kinokuniya cos Jie Liy wanted to buy her book and then met Rachel at her workplace in Paragon's Metro to pei her during her lunchtime. ^^ 3 of us headed to Lucky Plaza's food court to eat. I shared a dessert with Jie Liy cos was already damn full from the heavy lunch. Ate watermelon & honeydew sago which was YUMMY. ;D Haha.. After that, we went to Far East to window-shop. Well, had no $ so couldn't buy anything. It's so xin ku to walk around with an almost empty wallet. ): Hope I can get a job soon cos I'm kinda desperate for money. =P Before we sent Rachel back to her workplace, we dropped by the Crumpler shop at Paragon. Jie Liy and I wanna get a new bag for the new year but first, we have to work. -.- No money no talk. That's how realistic this world is. Well, walked back to Far East again cos Jie Liy wanted to buy something from Han's. So we went back and also bought ji pa, which we shared as there was ALOT. We asked for more chilli and in the end, we both thought it was too spicy. Hahaha.. What's next? Bubble tea lor. xD After that our legs were very suan so decided to go home. By then, it was already 6plus, coming to 7pm. Had a tiring but nice day out with the both of them. (: Oh yes..Jie Liy handed me a plastic bag FULL of souvenirs. :O Everything inside is cute and nice and I like ALL of them. Haha..ty! (: She's been faithfully giving me souvenirs every year! =D I only gave her 2 items from my trip but she gave me more than 10?! X: Hoho.. Feel bad but guess it's cos I didn't do much shopping. Nvm, I shall go on a shopping spree when I next go overseas! x) I took a pic of all the gifts cos they are just FABULOUS! :]  Lastly, CONGRATS to Jie Liy for getting into the jc of her choice! Just submitted my resume but not sure if the job's still available or if they're still interested in hiring me. The feeling of having no money to splurge during a vacation is really really terrible. I want $$$! ): Ppl are either working or going out this holiday but I am just letting time pass at home. Pathetic me. =_- I think I'm gonna grow mouldy all over. Haha.. Sian, just hope I'll get the job. Sick of job-hunting already. It's currently the rainy season in S'pore. Easy to fall ill so take loads of care, ppl. New blog skin.. I've changed my blog skin, at last. Haha (: It's been raining for the past few days so I've been staying home doing nothing. LOL. No $$$ to go shopping either. ): Oh ya.. I haven't sent my resume to the company! Guess I'll do it later. Anyway, spoke to Mrs Chua on msn last fri nite. Indeed, she's going to SJI while Mrs Phua will be heading for Bt Batok Sec. It somehow saddens me to know that many good teachers have already left or are leaving rgt but nevertheless, I'm glad that I've had many wonderful teachers during my 4-year stay. [: Of course, I'm also thankful for all the friends I have. Everyone has contributed in some way or another to have made my stay in rgt a really meaningful one. Haha X: Mmm.. Blogging has resumed! :] WOW. I can finally blog again! (: Previously, I couldn't log in for some reasons so my blog has been dead for a century? Ahaha.. ;D Not sure why but I somehow keep experiencing mood swings nowadays..so guys, pls pardon me if I haven't been nice ya? =X Hmm..tried calling to enquire about the admin job but apparently, the office had already been closed. It's ok, I'll try again tmr. ^^ (thanks for your help, jowell!) Not sure if I should work cos it's been tough finding a job and I'm tired -.- + I can't work on Sundays + I haven't played enough and am lazy to work! Hahaha.. I want a change of blogskin too! >.< The current one is already rotting and I think few ppl will visit my blog right now cos it's been ages since I last updated. ): Anyway, hope you all out there will do something useful this holiday. 'O's has long been over so that calls for work, play and relaxation! Of course, sleep is just as important. Haha.. I've been sleeping till 11 or 12pm DAILY.
